Osun state Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has mourned the South-West zonal chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Soji Adagunodo.
In a condolence message signed by his spokesperson Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke referred to the Late Adagunodo as a friend who he had supported to become the state Chairman of the PDP, and who had reciprocated by supporting him to become a senator of the Federal Republic.
Adeleke stated that the passing of Hon. Adagunodo was “a personal and overwhelming loss”, acknowledging the significant contributions that Adagunodo had made to their esteemed political party as the chairman in Osun State, as well as his notable achievements as the southwest chairman of the PDP.
Governor Adeleke said, “I share in the grief of his family and loved ones, recalling with fondness the good memories he shared with our great party as well as the impacts till his last moment on earth. It is our prayer that Almighty God be pleased with his soul and grant Hon. Adagunodo eternal rest and the loved ones the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
Adagunodo, a former chairman of the PDP in Osun State was pronounced dead on Tuesday.

A source informed our correspondent that Adagunodo had traveled abroad owing to an undisclosed ailment he had been battling.
The deceased had been out of the country before the last general election.
