Towoju Adedoyin John, a lecturer in the Department of Politics and Governance at the Kwara State University, Malete, has strongly condemned the recent incident involving Seun Kuti, an Afrobeat singer, who was captured on video assaulting a Nigerian Police Officer.

The lecturer added, “In short, assaulting a police officer is a severe offence in Nigeria. As a matter of fact, it is also known as a felony. By definition, a felony is traditionally considered a crime of high seriousness.”
