According to the Guardian, Arsenal are close to finalizing a £100 million deal to sign West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.
The Gunners are willing to make the 24-year-old England international the most expensive player in their history if certain add-ons are met.
West Ham has accepted Rice’s departure, and negotiations are thought to be going well.
Rice helped West Ham to end their 43-year wait for a major trophy as the English side beat Fiorentina to win the Europa Conference League in Prague.
Jarrod Bowen scored the winner in the 90th minute to secure the Hammers’ much anticipated glory.
The West Ham player of the year, led his team out on his 245th game in a West Ham shirt.
On the way to Prague, the 24-year-old has appeared eleven times, including a magnificent solitary goal in the quarter-final second-leg win over KAA Gent at London Stadium.
He is only the third player, after Bobby Moore and Billy Bonds, to lead the Hammers in a major European final, and only the second player, after fellow England international Moore, to win a major European trophy.
