The Governor of Kebbi State, Comrade Nasiru Idris, has sacked his Special Adviser on Youth, Babangida Sarki.
The sacking of the S.A. was a sequel to posting of “bisexual content” on his WhatsApp status.
In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ahmed Idris, and made available to Radio Nigeria in Birnin Kebbi said, the governor, who was enraged by the obnoxious development said, the aide trampled on the moral and social ethos of the Kebbi society, which is largely Islamic community.
The statement added that “the governor vowed that his administration would not condone any of such acts that denigrate the morality and integrity of the people of the state.”
The governor also cautioned other public office holders against making such heinous postings in their social media handles and other public fora.
Reaction: Kebbi Youth Hail Governor Idris
Youth groups in Kebbi State commended Governor Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu for taking prompt action of sacking his Special Adviser on Youth and Sports Babangida Sarki over indecent social media postings.
The group welcomes the action taken by the Governor describing it as an apt and timely decision to sanitize the sector that has for long been a subject of ridicule and hub of unwholesome activities
The group calls on the governor to beam his searchlight to others sectors with a view to sanitizing and wipe out miscreants of the Society.
