The acting Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University Malete, Professor Luqman jimoh, has commended the immediate response to the collasped culvert linking Shao to Malete in Moro local government area by the state government.
Professor Jimoh stated this in a statement made available to newsmen in ilorin.
According to him, the repair will alleviate the sufferings of the people.
He described the swift deployment of repair materials and personnel to the site as restating the commitment of the state government to the institution and the people of the area.
Prof Jimoh explained that “the state Ministry of Works and Transport was at the portion of the road a few hours after the collapsed putting in place measures to provide commuters with access to the road.”
The acting VC lauded Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for the timely intervention which had restored vehicular movement to the state capital.
