There was a mild drama at the Federal High Court in Lagos between officers of the Department of State Security and the defence team of the suspended CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, after three hours of ending the arraignment proceedings.
The court had granted the embattled suspended CBN governor bail and ordererd his remand at the correctional center pending the perfection of the bail conditions.
However, DSS officials refused to handover Mr. Emefiele to the prison officials as ordered by the court.
A video obtained by i-News Nigeria shows the moment the DSS officials dragging the ex-CBN governor on the court premises.
i-News Nigeria earlier reported that Justice Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court in Lagos has granted the suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, bail in the sum of twenty million nairas with one surety.
Justice Oweibo however noted that the embattled former CBN governor should be remanded in prison custody pending the perfection of his bail condition.
Emefiele was charged to court by the State Security Service for having one Single Barrel shot Gun and One Hundred and Twenty-Three Rounds of live ammunition without a license.
Emefiele clad in cream jalabia who entered the dock in his hand with a big red KJV bible pleaded not guilty to the two count charges leveled against him.
