Bronny James, LeBron James’ 18-year-old son, is now in a stable condition after he suffered a cardiac arrest on Monday while training at the University of Southern California (USC).
Sky Sports quoted a family spokesperson who confirmed on Tuesday that: “Yesterday while practising Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. Medical staff were able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital.
“He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information.
“LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes.”
Bronny James said in May that he would play college basketball for the Trojans. He was one of the country’s best high school prospects.
His father, LeBron James, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, has said he’d like to play at least one season in the NBA with Bronny.
Bronny is the oldest of James’ three children. He will be eligible for the 2024 NBA Draft
