Work Hard to Meet Nigerians Expectations, President Tinubu Tells Cabinet Members

President Bola Tinubu has charged his cabinet members to work hard to meet the high expectations of Nigerians.

He made the charge in Abuja at the maiden meeting of the Federal Executive Council meeting under his administration.

President Tinubu noted that the country was currently experiencing socio-economic turbulence, and urged to use their expertise to stabilise the situation.

“You and I know that the expectation is high, and there’s tough time right now. We must work hard, commit ourselves, and create a buoyant economy that will serve every Nigerian.

We have employment level that is not acceptable, we’re threatened by climate change, but to teun things around, you have been selected to perform your utmost best”, he stressed.

Reading out the administration’s policy agenda, the President urged them to promote activities that could ensure peace, which will in turn usher in prosperity.

“Strengthen National security for peace and prosperity. Without security, there can be no investment. That is true that investment is cowardly, it will not pursue you if you are problem, you have to convince them, and the time is to do that”, the President said.

The President implored them to be focused and work as a team to achieve the set objectives of the administration.

He said it was a must for them to find ways of harnessing the country’s natural resources to make it possible for Nigeria to begin local production of consumables needed by the citizenry.

The President told them that every area was a priority to deliver, and that being in the position of responsibility, they must make the identified priorities a fulfilled promise to Nigeria and the entire African continent.

“We must achieve the economic growth that is expected of you. We must feed our people. We must leverage on what we have and grow hope to satisfy Nigerians. It is all in your hand now. I’m ready to listen. I’m ready even for corrections. Only God is perfect”, President Tinubu emphasised.

The President told them to be bold in decision-making and implementation to speed up the achievements of the administration’s goals.
