Kogi Governorship Election Results Live Update: APC’s Ododo Wins 12 of 21 LGAs

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is presently in the process of collating the results of the governorship election in Kogi State. As reported by BusinessDay, INEC had scheduled off-cycle governorship elections for Saturday, November 11, 2023, in Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi States.

In the Kogi State governorship race, the primary contenders include the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Social Democratic Party (SDP), and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). These political heavyweights are vying for the leadership position in the state, and as the results are being tallied, the electoral landscape is tense with anticipation.

As of now, Ahmed Usman Ododo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is leading the polls, securing victories in 12 local government areas (LGAs), Yakubu Murtala of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has claimed victory in six LGAs while Dino Melaye of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is yet to win any.
