Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has affirmed his commitment to reviving the state’s assets, emphasizing that the renovation of the Agbowo Shopping Complex is a key component of the administration’s asset revitalization agenda.
The governor disclosed that the project’s commencement is imminent, assuring that the contractor will mobilize to the site in the coming weeks.
Additionally, Governor Makinde pledged to execute junction improvement at the University of Ibadan main gate, including the construction of a pedestrian bridge to connect the Agbowo axis.
Speaking during the unveiling of the billboard marking the UI @ 75 anniversary on the University Campus, Governor Makinde sought the continuous support and cooperation of the University of Ibadan community.
He urged patience from the community, acknowledging that traffic disruptions would be inevitable during the project implementation.
Congratulating the school management on achieving significant milestones, the governor highlighted the University of Ibadan’s reputation as the intellectual capital not only of Nigeria but also the entire African continent, producing accomplished individuals globally.
