Shettima Reveals When Nigeria Will Bounce Back Amid Economic Hardship

On Wednesday, Vice President Kashim Shettima expressed optimism that Nigeria’s economy and vital sectors will undergo significant improvement in the coming months.

He urged Nigerian graduates to harness their potential and actively participate in shaping a more prosperous future for their nation, advising against seeking opportunities abroad in pursuit of perceived greener pastures.

Give us a couple of months, this country will bounce back,” Shettima told the graduating class of the second cohort of the Legislative Mentorship Initiative whom the President’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, led on a visit to him at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.

In a statement titled ‘Let’s cultivate a green Nigeria rather than chasing greener pastures,’ Stanley Nkwocha, the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Communications, revealed this information on Wednesday.

VP Shettima urged the youth to stay in their home country, emphasizing, “Do not be misled into thinking that opportunities are better elsewhere. Undoubtedly, we have the potential to make our own turf green.”

The Vice President acknowledged the country’s current challenges, offering a resolute vision for overcoming them.
