The Senate has confirmed President Bola Tinubu’s request to sack Babatunde Irukera, the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission Executive Vice-Chair.
In a letter Tinubu sent to the Senate and read at the plenary on Wednesday by the Senate President, GodsWill Akpabio said he was demanding the sack of Irukere based on inefficiency.
However, the President had in January sacked Irukera and Mr Alexander Okoh, the Director-General/CEO of the Bureau of Public Enterprises, immediately.
