PAG Felicitates Ummah on Eid-ul-Kabir Celebration, Advocates Fairness From Leaders

The Political Awareness Group of Oyo State (PAG), has extended greetings to Muslim Ummah of Oyo State and the Nation at large on the occasion of the 1446 Eid-ul-Kabir celebration.
In a statement, the Group which comprises technocrats, Islamic scholars, political office holders, academicians, community and opinion leaders, Felicitates the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Governor Seyi Makinde and his Deputy, Barrister Bayo Lawal.
The Group also congratulates the Aare Musulumi of Yoruba, Alh. Daud Makanjuola Akinola; the Chairman of the Muslim Community of Oyo State, Alh. Isiaq Kunle Sanni; Asiwaju Adinni of Oyo State, Alh. Mutiullah Oladejo Onimalu.
Others include Distinguished Senators Abd Fatai Omotayo Buhari, Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli, Yunus Abiodun Akintunde, Hon. Dhikrullah Stanley Odidiomo, Hon Shittu Ibrahim, Hon Abisodun Were, Oloye Oladele Saheed, Dr. Nureni Adeniran, Alh Kamorudeen Aderibigbe and other eminent Muslim personalities.
It also reaches out to the Executive Chairman of Oyo West Local Government, Hon. Akeem Salam Olukitibi.
PAG expresses gratitude to Allah for allowing them and all of us to witness the 2025 Ileya celebration.
The Group urges the Ummah to imbibe the teachings of Eid in their daily lives.
The Chairman, Dr. Lukman Tunde Fasasi, calls on political leaders to act fairly, justly, and compassionately towards the masses.
He specifically challenges both State and Federal Governments to treat individuals of all faiths equitably during religious celebrations.
He noted that the free train and bus services, as well as food provisions offered during last Christmas and New Year celebrations, were not made available for this Eid-ul-Kabir celebration, which creates the erroneous perception that Muslims are regarded as second-class citizens.
In his admonition, Vice Chairman 1 of the Group, Sheikh Monsur Abd Salam, further emphasizes the lessons of Eid-ul-Adha, including piety, fulfilment of promises, complete reliance on Allah, generosity and spiritual awareness.
He encourages all Muslims to incorporate the lessons into their daily lives.
The Group thanked all those who share their ideals of good governance and improved welfare for the people and pray that Allah continues to bless them.
