A delegation of Late Alhaji Yisa Yagboyaju’s family has visited the Olubadan-designate, His Royal Majesty, Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, at his residence in Ibadan.
The visit was in recognition of Oba Ladoja’s recent approval by His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, and to congratulate him on his ascension to the stool.
Speaking during the visit, the leader of the delegation, Professor Dhikrullah Yagboyaju, who is also the Asiwaju Aare-Aago of Erin-Osun, described the emergence of Oba Ladoja as a divine and historic moment for Ibadanland; considering his dedication and sacrifice to the people of Ibadan and Oyo State in particular, and Nigeria in general.
Professor Yagboyaju who is an academic prayed for the coronation success and a peaceful reign.
Responding, the Olubadan designate Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja appreciated the family for the visit and said that a lot of people from all walks of life will attend the coronation.
Oba Ladoja promised that screens would be mounted at strategic points to beam the event live from Beere to Orita merin and Idi-Arere in order to avoid depriving people of opportunity to watch the coronation live.
The Monarch revealed that adequate preparations are being put in place for the coronation which coincides with his birthday, nothing that nothing will be left undone to ensure the success of the ceremony.
Other members of the delegation include Dr Adeniyi Yagboyaju, and Mrs Rakiya Dhikrullah-Yagboyaju.
