In a show of solidarity and Unity, the Ayetoro Oke Community in Kajola Local Government, Oyo State has visited the site of Federal University of Agriculture and Technology (FUNATO), Okeho.
The delegation was led by Gegun of Ayetoro Oke, Oba Najeemudeen Adelaja Tukur II, some community leaders and youth representatives.
Other members of the delegation include the Chairman, Ayetoro Oke Community, Deacon A.A. Ojeniyi, the Secretary, Mr. Salaudeen Sulaimon and Mr. Shakiru Ashinmolowo.
Others are Alfa Salaudeen Isiaka, Mr. Ajiboro Amidu, Ademola Akinleye, Deaconess Olaosebikan Mary and representatives of Ayetoro Oke Youths.
The delegation expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for approving the University, describing its establishment as a landmark development for Oke Ogun and Oyo State at large.
The Ayetoro Oke community, led by Oba Najeemdeen Tukur thanked Professor Segun Gbadegesin, Senator Abdulfatai Buhari, Hon Shina Oyedeji, for their roles in facilitating the establishment of FUNATO in Okeho, thereby positioning the region for academic, economic, and infrastructural advancement.
Presenting a Letter of Congratulation to the President General of Egbe Omo Ibile Okeho, the Ayetoro Oke community chairman, Deacon A.A. Ojeniyi, lauded the appointment of Professor J.O. Babayemi, as the Pioneer indigenous Vice Chancellor for the institution.
In a remark, the Gegun of Ayetoro Oke, Oba Najeemdeen Tukur II commended the efforts of all stakeholders, urging continuous collaboration to ensure the success and sustainability of the university.
Receiving the delegation, Chairman of Egbe Omo Ibile Okeho, Dr. Salawu Kasali, expressed gratitude for the visit and noted that the gesture from Ayetoro Oke Community reinforced the collective ownership and pride in FUNATO.
He pledged that Egbe Omo Ibile Okeho would continue to work for the development and upliftment of the region.
The event featured a joint prayer session, emphasizing peace, unity, and progress for the university and the entire Oke Ogun region.
