Additional 80MW: Team Adebayo Adelabu-In-Diaspora Lauds Minister of Power

Team Adebayo Adelabu-In-Diaspora has hailed as a significant achievement the addition of 80 megawatts of electricity capacity to Nigeria’s National Grid.

The group, comprising academics, technocrats, entrepreneurs, and young professionals across Europe, the Americas, and Africa, attributed this accomplishment to the unwavering efforts of the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu.

In a statement issued by the Chief Coordinator, and Director of Communication Mr. Rasheed Alatishe, Team Adebayo Adelabu-In-Diaspora, Bushie Ferrari, the group specifically recognized the recent increase in electricity capacity following the commissioning of Unit 1G9 at the Kainji Hydropower Plant by PowerChina Huadong Engineering Corporation Limited.

According to the statement, this enhancement will elevate the Kainji Hydropower Plant’s output from 520 MW to 600 MW, marking a notable advance toward realizing the plant’s total installed capacity of 760 MW.

The Chief Coordinator, Bushie Ferrari, commended the Minister of Power for the improvements in power supply across Nigeria, as well as for expanding transmission capacity and enhancing grid stability.

Team Adebayo Adelabu-In-Diaspora applauded the Minister’s efforts in advancing Nigeria’s power sector and expressed anticipation for continued progress in delivering stable and reliable electricity to bolster Nigeria’s economic development.
