Buhari to spend additional week in London for dental care – Femi Adesina
President Muhammadu Buhari has extended his days in London by a week for a dental treatment.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, announced this in a statement on Tuesday.
The outgoing president had travelled to the UK last week to attend the coronation of King Charles III.
He was scheduled to return to Nigeria this week but will now stay back “at the behest of his dentist, who has started attending to him”.
“The specialist requires to see the president in another five days for a procedure already commenced,” presidential spokesperson Femi Adesina said.
“President Muhammadu Buhari will be in London, United Kingdom, for an additional week, at the behest of his Dentist, who has started attending to him.”

“President Buhari had joined other world leaders to attend the coronation of King Charles III on May 6, 2023.” Adesina said.
Throughout his administration, Mr. Buhari has visited the UK several times for unknown medical needs amid concerns about his health.
President Muhammadu Buhari will complete his eight years of two terms as the leader of Africa’s most populous nation on May 29. He will hand over to president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu also of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Mr Tinubu defeated 17 other candidates who took part in the election to become the next Nigerian leader.
He scored a total of 8,794,726 votes, the highest of all the candidates, therefore meeting the first constitutional requirement to be declared the winner.
He also scored over 25 per cent of the votes cast in 30 states, more than the 24 states constitutionally required.
