Turkish giant, Galatasaray, others hunt for Nigeria’s Wilfred Ndidi
Galatasaray, a Turkish Super Lig giant, has joined the hunt for Leicester City and the Super Eagles of Nigeria’s midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi.
Scottish club Glasgow Celtic and Saudi Arabia Professional League outfit, Al Shabab have previously been linked with the Nigerian talented player.
Leicester City risk losing the 26-year-old midfielder for free if they do not sell him now as he a year left on his contract, according to Complete Sports.
The Foxes were relegated from the Premier League last season as they failed to replicate the blazing forms that gave them the chance to lift the Premier League title.
Ndidi joined Leicester City in January 2017 for £17 million from KRC Genk of the Belgian Pro League.
His countryman Kelechi Iheanacho is also expected to quit the former Premier League winners this summer.
Reacting to his club misfortune, Kelechi said: “I don’t even know how I feel right now. I’m so disappointed. I don’t know what to say. I just need to thank the football club, the fans, everyone who has supported us from the start to now.” he told LCFC.
“I know it’s a hard one to take but if life kicks you, you just need to stand up and keep going. Whatever it is, we just keep going, stay strong, and hopefully we get back up.
“Nobody’s really happy at this time. It’s a bad time for the club and everyone. We need to take it on the chin and move on. It’s really not what we want but we can’t go back now. We have to move forward.”
