Hajj pilgrim who returns $80, 000 to get special NTA interview, state honour

President Bola Ahmed Tinibu has commended the exemplary, honesty and Godly attitude demonstrated by a Zamfara female pilgrim who returned the lost money to its owner in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

The Chairman Zamfara State 2023 Hajj Committee, Alhaji Musa Mallaha, disclosed this while briefing newsmen on records of what his committee achieved during the recently concluded religious exercise.

Musa Mallaha explained that Hajiya Aishatu Nahuche, one of the pilgrims from the state, returned the sum of eighty thousand dollars, equivalent to about sixty million naira while performing this year’s pilgrimage in Mecca.

He said the president became highly elated so much that he directed the National Hajj Commission to organize an NTA interview with the patriotic and honest citizen for record keeping when the news went viral..

According to him, the commission is still making arrangements in which the Zamfara state governor will be part of the ceremony when the lady will be publicly honored by the state first lady.

The chairman, who appeared pleased with the good character of the pilgrim, emphasized that her exemplary behavior is a source of pride not only for Zamfara and Nigeria as a whole, but also for the entire Muslim world.
