Zamfara state government has inaugurated Revenue Recovery Tribunal to tackle the problem of revenue leakage in the state.

The state governor Dauda Lawal who inaugurated the tribunal at government house Gusau said it became imperative for his administration to ensure that all the state government’s revenues are collected in order to be able to execute developmental projects to better the lives of the citizens.

Although the Revenue Recovery Tribunal is new in the state, he believes its members should use their skills to make it comparable to those in other jurisdictions.

The governor, who reminded the chairperson and members of the tribunal of the gravity of their work, also urged them to fear Allah in carrying out their responsibilities.

Speaking shortly after taking oath of office and allegiance, chairperson of the Tribunal Rabi Bashir pledged that they will work diligently.
