The federal government has reiterated its commitment to fostering an environment that empowers entrepreneurs, nurtures innovation and attracts investments.
The Solicitor General of the Federation and Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Justice, Beatrice Jeddy-Agba, stated this at a workshop on the guidelines for the incorporation of companies limited by Guarantee Ltd/GTE, in Abuja.
Jeddy-Agba maintained that “the guidelines were designed to achieve consistency in the processing of applications for stakeholders, members of the Nigerian Bar Association, Corporate Affairs Commission and promoters of companies limited guarantee.”
She stated that the move was aimed at improving the ease of doing business as contained in the Executive Order No 1 of 18th May 2017.
The permanent secretary, therefore, advised ministries, departments, agencies and MDAs, to publish the services they provide, as well as the requirement for accessing such services.
She then assured that special care had been taken to address challenges and issues commonly associated with the processing of applications for the Attorney-General’s authorisation.
