A cross section of concerned ogbomoso Muslim youths has staged a peaceful protest to the palace of soun of Ogbomoso to protest against what they described as suspected attempt to remove the chief imam of Ogbomoso ,Sheik Toliat Ayilara.

The Muslim youths in their hundreds stormed palace at about 5:30pm on Wednesday, 25th October, 2023, saying they did not want any exchange of the chief imam of Ogbomoso.

Addressing the protesting Muslim youth, a representative of soun of Ogbomoso who did not want his name mentioned said there had not been official statement from any quarter to the removal of Shelk Toliat Ayilara, calling on the concerned Ayilaras family to go back to their and family to resolve any purported differences.

It would be recalled that the Are Musulumi of Ogbomoso land Alhaji Abdulganiy Owodunni and other Muslim leaders in Ogbomoso had ordered the Ogbomoso central mosque located at Oja’gbo be shut down for Friday jumat to allow for settlement of some internal matters.
