Dino’s Downfall: FFK’s Taunting Words Echo As Melaye Faces Electoral Debacle

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has derided Senator Dino Melaye, the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for his lackluster performance in the recently concluded Kogi governorship election.

Expressing his sentiments on social media, Fani-Kayode declared that Melaye’s political journey has reached its conclusion.

Despite Melaye’s extravagant theatrics, bombastic rhetoric, and participation in unconventional activities, he suffered a resounding defeat in the Kogi state governorship election.

Out of a total of 751,000 votes cast, Melaye could only secure a meager 47,000, constituting a mere 5%.

His distant third or even fourth position in the race was a stark contrast to his previous roles as a House of Reps member and a Senator.

Fani-Kayode highlighted Melaye’s past confrontations, emphasizing the irony of his current political downfall.

Despite Melaye’s once brazen behavior, he now finds himself on the political sidelines, with Usman Ododo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) emerging victorious with 446,237 votes in the November 11 poll. Melaye trailed far behind, securing only 46,362 votes, confirming the end of his political career.
