Labour Party Responds Favorably To Atiku’s Call For Opposition Merger
Atiku, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), had recommended the collaboration of opposition parties for the purpose of unseating the APC from power in 2027.

This suggestion was put forth during a meeting with the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Inter-Party Advisory Council of Nigeria (IPAC) at his Abuja residence on Monday.
The PDP flagbearer cautioned against the potential transformation of Nigeria into a one-party state.
In response to Atiku’s proposal, the acting National Publicity Secretary of the LP, Obiora Ifoh, expressed support for Atiku’s merger idea, considering it as a positive suggestion that warrants consideration.
Ifoh emphasized that any Nigerian with an interest in fostering genuine democracy should carefully contemplate this proposal.
He remarked, “Atiku’s call is a proposition, and every Nigerian will consider a good proposition that is meant to remove the Octopus in power because they are not democrats.”
