Sanwo-Olu Reacts To Appeal Court Triumph: Vows To Uphold Lagosians’ Mandate
Earlier, it was reported that the Appeal Court in Lagos rejected the appeal filed by the Labour Party (LP) and its candidate Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, challenging the victory of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the March 18 election for the Office of the Governor of Lagos State.

The Appeal Court unanimously affirmed the lower tribunal’s decision, stating that Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, were qualified to contest, contrary to the assertions made by the LP and Gbadebo.
In response to the Appeal Court’s ruling that upheld his election as the governor of Lagos state, Sanwo-Olu expressed gratitude and noted that the judicial pronouncements have strengthened his confidence in the country’s justice system.
“With a sense of humility, I welcome the decision of the Court of Appeal, which ruled today in our favor, thereby validating the position of Lagosians who freely cast their ballots to return my deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat and me as Governor and Deputy Governor of our dear State. We do not take it for granted,” the governor stated.
