Sad As Bandits Release Heartbreaking Video Of 63 Women Kidnapped While Escorting Bride In Katsina State, Threaten To Marry Off Bride If Ransom Demands Aren’t Met
In a sad development, bandits have released a distressing video showcasing 63 women who were abducted while escorting a new bride to her matrimonial home in Katsina state. The incident occurred late Friday, shaking the community to its core.
The wedding convoy, traveling from Dandume to Ungwar Murjiya in Sabuwa Local Government Area, fell victim to a vicious ambush near Gamji. The assailants, in a brazen attack around 8:30 pm, abducted the bride and approximately 52 guests, leaving behind chaos and fear.
Among the victims, the truck conductor sustained injuries and is currently undergoing medical treatment at a facility in Damari. While local authorities, including Dandume Local Government Chairman Bashiru Musa, confirmed the incident, the exact number of those abducted remains unclear.
In the heart-wrenching video released by the bandits, their menacing voices echo as they flaunt their hostages. One bandit brazenly threatens any potential rescuers, while another dismisses any notions of negotiation, asserting their control over the situation.
As the victims plead for help, their cries reverberate through the screen, amplifying the urgency of their plight. The bandits, unmoved by their distress, continue to demand ransom, even suggesting marrying off the bride to one of their own if their demands are not met.
Amidst the terror, the kidnapped bride, clad in an army uniform, and the distressed driver appeal for assistance, emphasizing their need for rescue and the payment of ransom for their release.
