Gunmen abducted Alhaja Seliat Raji, the sister of Barrister Ahmed Raji, a philanthropist and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), at her residence in Iseyin, Oyo State, around 8 pm on Thursday, May 16, 2024.

Reports indicate that the assailants, wearing masks, not only seized the victim but also mercilessly killed the security guard stationed at the house before proceeding to the living room where Alhaja Seliat was watching television.

Witnesses recount that the armed perpetrators arrived at the residence on a motorcycle but departed in the victim’s Lexus car.

A member of the Raji family, who verified the incident, disclosed that the kidnappers have established contact with the SAN.

According to the source, “They have reached out to SAN and communicated their demands.

“While they seek a ransom, the specific amount remains undisclosed. This has caused widespread distress among us,” the source elaborated.
