Legal Practitioner, Barrister Aponmade Commiserates Governor Makinde on Elder Brother’s Death

Barrister Akeem O. Aponmade, a former House of Representatives’ Aspirant in Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency, has commiserated with Oyo State Governor, Engineer Oluseyi Makinde and his family over the death of his elder brother, Engineer Sunday Makinde, who died on Friday, January 24, 2025, at the age of 65.
In a condolence message, Barrister Aponmade described Engr. Makinde’s demise as an irreparable loss to the Makinde family, Oyo state and the country as a whole. He said from the accounts of those close to the deceased, late Engineer Sunday Makinde was a man of integrity and full of kindness who made his own contributions to the development of Ibadanland and Oyo State.
“With a heavy heart, Your Excellency, I extend my deepest sympathies to you, your family, and the people of Oyo State on the passing of your beloved elder brother, Engineer Sunday Makinde,” Barrister Aponmade said.
The renowned IP expert prayed for God’s comfort and strength for the Governor and his family, urging them to take solace in the fulfilling life the late engineer lived. He noted that the deceased would be remembered for his positive contributions to his family and community.
Barrister Aponmade, formerly Co-Chair of INTA’s Africa Global Advisory Council, called on the people of Oyo State to support the Governor and his family with prayers and words of encouragement at this trying time for the family.
