Kogi Resident Irons His Way Into History, Finishing 142-Hour Marathon With Style

A man named Dauda Abdulfatai, determined to surpass Gareth Sander’s Guinness World Record of a 100-hour ironing marathon, unexpectedly halted his attempt after enduring over 142 continuous hours of ironing.

The decision to terminate the marathon was influenced by medical concerns and feedback from his support team.

Initiating the ironing marathon last Wednesday at Off Ajaokuta Road, Ganaja Village, Lokoja, Kogi State, Dauda had secured approval via mail from the Guinness World Records.

Surpassing the 142-hour mark in the ironing marathon, Abdulfattah El-Okene not only exceeded Gareth Sanders’ 2015 record for a 100-hour ironing marathon from the UK but also managed to iron an impressive 2,249 garments during this extraordinary feat.

END.
