Three people have killed and one person injured in a tragic accident on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway in Ogun State.
According to a report, the incident occurred on Friday when a Toyota Sienna vehicle, with registration number BDG 426 HT, collided with a DAF truck marked RNG 558 XC near the Total petrol station.
The Federal Road Safety Corps’ Public Education Officer, Florence Okpe, confirmed the accident and stated that a total of seven individuals, including four men, two women, and one child, were involved.
Okpe attributed the cause of the accident to the excessive speed of the Sienna driver, who crashed into the DAF truck as it was leaving the trailer park.
“The injured victim was promptly taken to Isaara General Hospital for medical treatment, while the deceased were transported to the FOS morgue in Ipara,” Okpe stated.
She added that measures are being taken by authorities to manage the traffic situation, and motorists are being urged to exercise caution and adhere to reasonable speed limits.
