Kaduna State gov swears in new commissioners
Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has sworn in new commissioners to serve as members of the state Executive Council.
The governor, while swearing in the commissioners at government house Kaduna, charged them to justify the confidence repose on them.
Governor Uba Sani told the commissioners that citizens of Kaduna expect a lot from them, stressing that “excuses for lacklustre performance would not be accepted.”
He also revealed that “in the service of Kaduna State, they must put personal friendship aside.
He noted that they will be strictly assessed based on their performance.
According to him, anyone that fails to measure up will be shown the way out, he however assured to give them all the necessary support and tools to perform optimally.
“I encourage you all to see yourselves as part of the SUSTAIN AGENDA TEAM. We work together and succeed together. It is not about personal glory. It is about service to the people”
Malam Uba Sani explained that, his administration would establish a TRUST FUND FOR THE POOR AND VULNERABLE IN KADUNA STATE.
He stressed that, the Trust Fund would cater for the needs of the poor, underserved and vulnerable in Kaduna State, adding that, a Committee would be set up to develop a Framework for the Establishment of the Trust Fund.
The governor also stated that, he will donate 50% of his salary to the Trust Fund for the next two years as part of his sacrifice towards reducing the cost of governance in Kaduna State to support vulnerable abd poor.
According to the Governor, Sule Shuaibu is the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Shizzer Nasara Joy Bada Commissioner for Finance, Professor Muhammad Sani Bello Commissioner for Education while
Umma Kaltume Ahmed as Commissioners for Health.
Others are Sadiq Mamman Lagos Commissioner for Local
Government, Aminu Abdullahi Shagali – Housing and Urban Development
Salisu Rabi – Human Services and Social
Development and Professor Benjamin Kumai Gugong – Sports Development.
The governor further revealed that, Ibrahim Hamza is the Commissioner Public Works and Infrastructure, Mukhtar Ahmed – Planning and Budget Commission, Abubakar Buba – Environment & Natural
Resources and Murtala Mohammed Dabo Commissioner for Agriculture.
Others include Patience Fakai Commissioner for Business Innovation & Technology.
He congratulated the Commissioners for accepting to be part of the journey of making Kaduna State the Model of Development in Nigeria.
