Breaking News: Elderly Woman Arrested With Accomplices In Ogun For Alleged Sale Of 10 Human Heads
The Ogun State Police have apprehended an elderly woman and her accomplices involved in the illicit trade of human parts. The arrests were made by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, employing an undercover officer who posed as a buyer.
The undercover operation intercepted a transaction where a human head was about to be sold for N120,000 before law enforcement intervened. The recovered body parts include kidneys, heads, intestines, livers, and other organs. The police initiated the investigation in response to a surge in cases of unexplained disappearances.
Authorities noted that most of the seized human parts were fresh, indicating recent activities by the criminal gang. The arrested members comprise a grave digger, a buyer, and a seller.
The buyer, involved in the trade for four years, confessed to purchasing human heads from the elderly woman for as little as N10,000, claiming it was for spiritual purposes. The grave diggers revealed that they sourced some heads by exhuming corpses from grave sites.
One of the grave diggers disclosed that his role was to dig graves for the gang, earning N3,000 for each task. He admitted awareness of the gang’s sale of human parts obtained from the cemetery.
In a disturbing twist, the elderly woman, specializing in selling the body parts, reportedly consumed a piece of human flesh during the investigation, attempting to pass it off as regular beef. She confessed to selling human heads for the past two years, emphasizing that they shredded the heads into tiny pieces for herbalists.
As the investigation unfolds, the police continue their efforts to unravel the extent of the criminal activities and bring those involved to justice.
