3MTT: Applicants Face Registration Hurdles Over Technical Glitches

As the March 31, 2024 deadline draws near, the Federal Government’s 3 Million Technical Talent programme faces technical glitches on the platform, leaving many Nigerians stranded in their registration process.

Applicants on Saturday conveyed their complaints to the official 3MTT handle on X (formerly Twitter).

Among the complaints were reports of questionnaire errors, difficulties in saving profiles, and other technical glitches, painting a bleak picture of the registration process.

The first cohort of 30,000 underwent training programmes across 12 skill areas over the last few months: Software Development, UI/UX Design, Data Analysis & Visualisation, Quality Assurance, Product Management, Data Science, Animation, AI/MMachine Learning, Cybersecurity, Game Development, Cloud Computing, Dev Ops.

An X user, Baker Joe wrote, “I have been trying to write the questionnaire test on my dashboard for the past four days, but it is showing an error. Please, what should I do to resolve it?”

Loluwa stated, “I just received an email saying I won’t be onboarded if I don’t accept the terms and conditions of the programme. The deadline for this is tomorrow, and the onboarding session is Thursday. Please, can this be looked into? Is the maintenance still on?”

Sunday Taiwo wrote, “I think registration is still going on, but I’ve been trying to register for four days now, and it’s showing an error message. It keeps giving me the same error message every time I try to submit my application.”

Kingsley Ekong revealed, “I applied for the cyber security programme, and I was asked to take a questionnaire test. But anytime I click it, it always says a questionnaire error. Hence, I can’t begin my training.

Simdy noted, “Good day, I have been trying to write the questionnaire test on my dashboard for more than a week now, but it is showing an error. Please, how can I resolve it to complete my application?”

Meanwhile, the 3MTT team on March 8 said that the platform was undergoing a system upgrade, possibly contributing to the registration hurdles.

The 3MTT team stated, “Dear #3MTT Fellows, we are undergoing a system upgrade which may affect your access to your dashboard. As a result, we have decided to extend the deadline for profile updates to March 31, 2024.

“This will allow you ample time to update your profile without any inconvenience. Please note that we are working diligently to ensure a seamless experience for you, and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”

The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, who spearheads the programme said last month that an additional 270,000 Nigerians had joined the programme and would be trained over the next 18 months.
