In a tragic incident during the Sallah festivities, Sokoto State witnessed a deadly assault resulting in the loss of six lives and the abduction of over 100 individuals.

Gunmen stormed the community of Tudun Doki in Gwadabawa Local Government Area early Sunday morning, unleashing terror with sophisticated firearms.

Police spokesperson Ahmed Rufai confirmed the casualties, stating that efforts are underway to locate and rescue those abducted.

The assailants, reportedly numbering seven, attacked indiscriminately, leaving the peaceful locality of Gwadabawa shaken by violence previously unknown in the area.
