The Flying Eagles of Nigeria will compete in Group D of the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup against Brazil, Italy, and Dominican Republic.

The group is considered the toughest among others.

The group’s most challenging opponents are five-time champions Brazil and Italy with the two sides having high flying players who have tasted the game of football at the top level.

Dominican Republic will be making a maiden appearance in the competition.

The Flying Eagles came in third place at the Egypt-hosted 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

In 1989 and 2005, the West Africans placed second twice.

Argentina will host the competition from May 20 to June 11.
