Tinubu arrives in Abuja after spending days in France, UK, Lagos

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu returned to Abuja on Sunday afternoon from Lagos, where he celebrated Eid Al Adhaa at his Ikoyi residence.

His return to Abuja is coming barely 13 days after he departed Nigeria’s capital to attend the Summit on New Global Financing Pact in Paris, France and London, United Kingdom on a private visit.

Tinubu landed at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja around 2:30pm and was received by top officials.

While he was in Lagos, i-News Nigeria reported that President Tinubu received the President of Guinea Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embaló who paid a solidarity to his Nigerian counterpart at his Lagos residence in Ikoyi.

Special Adviser to the President, Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy, Dele Alake noted in a statement that the visit allowed Embaló, who is the Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, to reinforce the fraternal relations between the two countries.

President Embaló commended the laudable policy initiatives of President Tinubu in the last one month and added that everyone in the international community has been commending the giant strides of the Nigerian leader, according to the statement.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Saturday paid homage to the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Aremu Akiolu, at his palace.

Earlier before then, he visited the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, in Abeokuta, as well as the Awujale and Paramount ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona in Ijebu-Ode.
