First Lady floats Renewed Hope Initiative, vows to complement FG’s efforts to alleviate sufferings

The Renewed Hope Initiative, a pet project of Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has committed to reach the grassroots in all states of the Federation in order to elevate and relieve the burdens of Nigerians. She made the remarks at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja, where she met with governors’ wives to brief them on the initiative’s objectives.

The Nigerian First Lady, Senator Remi Tinubu, stated that all wives of the state governors are on board to support the Renewed Hope project.

She noted that elections are now over, therefore all hands must be on deck to build Nigeria, which is a collaborative endeavor of everyone regardless of party affiliation, religion and region.

She stressed that in light of the Federal Government decision to declare a state of emergency on food security, the renewed hope program will do its best to complement the government’s efforts to alleviate the burdens being experienced, particularly at the grassroot level.

On her part, the wife of the Kwara State Governor Mrs Olufolake Abdulrazak they are all ready to support the First Lady especially reaching the grassroots.

She pointed further that the initiative will not interfere with their personal projects in their respective states.

The Wives of Governors will nominate a Renewed Hope Initiative Zonal Coordinator and select topics to address in their respective states.

Wives of Governors, the Senior SSA on Strategy and Policy, Mr Wahab Alewiye, and the Special Adviser on Media, Mrs Busola Kukoyi, were present during the meeting.
