Gov Makinde announces new appointments

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has approved key reappointments and new appointments in his administration.
The following individuals have been assigned to important roles in various sectors:
- Mr. Fatai Owoseni: The retired Commissioner of Police has been reappointed as the Special Adviser on Security.
- Comrade Bayo Titilola-Sodo: The former chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Oyo State chapter, has been reappointed as the Special Adviser on Labour Matters.
- Mr. Segun Adegoke: The retired Assistant Comptroller of Immigration will take on the role of the Special Adviser on Homeland Security.
- Chief Bayo Lawal: The immediate past Commissioner for Trades and Commerce, has been appointed as the Senior Executive Assistant on General Duties.
Additionally, Governor Makinde has approved the following appointments:
- Mr. Olatilewa Folami: Director-General, Oyo State Investment and Public Private Partnership (OYSIPA).
- Mr. Elias Adeojo: Chairman, Water Corporation of Oyo State.
- Mr. Olufemi Awakan: Chairman, Oyo State Board of Internal Revenue.
- Dr. Debo Akande: Executive Adviser, Agribusiness, International Cooperation and Development & Director-General, Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA).
These appointments were officially disclosed in a statement signed by Sulaimon Olanrewaju, the Chief Press Secretary to the Oyo State Governor, on Thursday, July 20, 2023.
The governor urged all the new appointees to consider their roles as a further call to service and to carry out their duties with utmost dedication and loyalty to the state.
The appointments take effect immediately
