Skit maker, Trinityguy, remanded in custody over dangerous prank

Trinityguy, a popular skit maker named Abdullahi Maruff Adisa, has been remanded in prison by a Magistrate Court in Iyaganku, Ibadan, Oyo State.

According to a report, this decision comes as a result of allegations that Trinityguy sexualised a minor in one of his viral skit videos.

The call for Trinityguy’s arrest was made by the Nigerian Police, specifically the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, after the video of his dangerous pranks went viral.

Following the arrest, the Oyo State Police Command questioned Trinityguy and the parent of the little girl featured in the video. Both individuals were scheduled to appear in court on Monday, the report said.

During the court hearing, Trinityguy’s counsel, represented by Magistrate Olúdáre Adebayo, requested bail for the defendant.

However, Magistrate PO Adetuyibi denied the bail application, explaining that the allegation against Trinityguy is currently under review by the state Ministry of Justice.

The court also ordered the parents of the little girl in the video to be remanded in custody alongside Trinityguy until the next court session.

The Magistrate adjourned the case until July 11.
